1. 32ಆದರೆ ಯಾರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿಯೋ ಅವರು ಬದುಕದೆ ಇರಲಿ; ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನದೇನಾದರೂ ಇದ್ದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರ ಮುಂದೆ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೋ ಅಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ರಾಹೇಲಳು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕದ್ದು ಕೊಂಡದ್ದು ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
2. 33ಆಗ ಲಾಬಾನನು ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಲೇಯಳ ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ದಾಸಿಯರ ಗುಡಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಲೇಯಳ ಗುಡಾರದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ರಾಹೇಲಳ ಗುಡಾರದೊಳಗೆ ಹೋದನು.
3. 34ಆದರೆ ರಾಹೇಲಳು ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಒಂಟೆಯ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡಳು. ಲಾಬಾನನು ಗುಡಾರವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹುಡುಕಿದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಅವನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
4. 35ರಾಹೇಲಳು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ--ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಏಳಲಾರದೆ ಇರುವದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಭುವೇ, ನಿನಗೆ ಕೋಪಬಾರದೆ ಇರಲಿ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರ ಕ್ರಮ ನನಗೆ ಆಗಿದೆ ಅಂದಳು. ಅವನು ಆ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಹೋದನು.
5. 36ಆಗ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಲಾಬಾ ನನ ಕೂಡ ವಾದಿಸಿದನು. ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರ ವಾಗಿ ಲಾಬಾನನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟಿ ಬರು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ಅಪರಾಧವೇನು? ನನ್ನ ಪಾಪವೇನು?
