ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆ ನನಗೆ --ಚುಕ್ಕೆಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಬಳವಾಗಿರಲಿ ಅಂದಾಗ ಮಂದೆಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಚುಕ್ಕೆಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದೇ ಈಯಿತು; ಅವನು --ರೇಖೆಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಬಳವಾಗಿರಲಿ ಅಂದಾಗ ಮಂದೆಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ರೇಖೆಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಈಯಿತು.

Nimma tande nanage --chukkeyulladdu ninna sambalavaagirali andaaga mandeyellaa chukkeyulladde eeyitu; avanu --rekheyulladdu ninna sambalavaagirali andaaga mandeyellaa rekheyulladdanne eeyitu.

King James Version (KJV): If he said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the cattle bare speckled: and if he said thus, The ringstraked shall be thy hire; then bare all the cattle ringstraked.
World English Bible (WEB): If he said, ‘The speckled will be your wages,’ then all the flock bore speckled. If he said, ‘The streaked will be your wages,’ then all the flock bore streaked.

7ಆದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯು ನನಗೆ ವಂಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಬಳವನ್ನು ಹತ್ತು ಸಾರಿ ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ ದನು. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಕೇಡುಮಾಡಗೊಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
8ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆ ನನಗೆ --ಚುಕ್ಕೆಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಬಳವಾಗಿರಲಿ ಅಂದಾಗ ಮಂದೆಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಚುಕ್ಕೆಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದೇ ಈಯಿತು; ಅವನು --ರೇಖೆಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಬಳವಾಗಿರಲಿ ಅಂದಾಗ ಮಂದೆಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ರೇಖೆಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಈಯಿತು.
9ಹೀಗೆ ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
10ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕುರಿಗಳು ಗರ್ಭದರಿಸುವಾಗ ಆದದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ ಸ್ವಪ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ನೋಡಲಾಗಿ ಇಗೋ, ಕುರಿ ಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರುವ ಟಗರುಗಳು ಚುಕ್ಕೆ ಮಚ್ಚೆ ರೇಖೆಗಳುಳ್ಳವುಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದವು.
