1. 4ಆಗ ಏಸಾವನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿ ಬಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವನ ಕೊರಳಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮುದ್ದಿಟ್ಟನು. ಅವರು ಅತ್ತರು.
2. 5ಆಗ ಏಸಾವನು ತನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿ--ನಿನ್ನ ಜೊತೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಇವರು ಯಾರು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು--ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸನಿಗೆ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅಂದನು.
3. 6ಆಗ ದಾಸಿಯರೂ ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದರು.
4. 7ಲೇಯಳು ಸಹ ತನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದು ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದಳು. ತರುವಾಯ ಯೋಸೇಫನೂ ರಾಹೇಲಳೂ ಬಂದು ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದರು.
5. 8ಆಗ ಏಸಾ ವನು--ನಾನು ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡ ಪಶುಗಳ ಮಂದೆ ಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯಾತಕ್ಕೆ? ಅಂದಾಗ ಯಾಕೋಬನು--ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಕೃಪೆ ದೊರಕಲಿ ಎಂದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಮಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು.
