ಯೆಹೂದನು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಈಡು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನಾದ ಅದುಲ್ಲಾಮ್ಯನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಮೇಕೆಯ ಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾಗ ಆಕೆಯು ಸಿಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Yehoodanu aa streeya kaiyinda eedu takkolluvadakke tanna snehitanaada adullaamyana kaiyinda mekeya mariyannu kaluhisidaaga aakeyu sigalilla.

- 18ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು--ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡತಕ್ಕ ಈಡು ಏನು ಅಂದಾಗ ಅವಳು--ನಿನ್ನ ಮುದ್ರೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಡಗ ಗಳೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕೋಲು ಅಂದಳು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕೆಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಆಕೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವಳು ಅವನಿಂದ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾದಳು.
- 19ತರುವಾಯ ಅವಳು ಎದ್ದು ಹೋಗಿ ಮುಸುಕನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದಿಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ವಿಧವೆಯ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡಳು.
- 20ಯೆಹೂದನು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಈಡು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನಾದ ಅದುಲ್ಲಾಮ್ಯನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಮೇಕೆಯ ಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾಗ ಆಕೆಯು ಸಿಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
- 21ಅದುಲ್ಲಾಮ್ಯನು ಆಕೆಯ ಊರಿನವರನ್ನು--ಬಹಿರಂಗ ಮಾರ್ಗದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸೂಳೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವರು--ಈ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಸೂಳೆಯೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದರು.
- 22ಆಗ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೂದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬಂದು--ಆಕೆಯು ನನಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು--ಈ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂಳೆಯು ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
