1. 8ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವನ ಸಹೋದ ರರೂ ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯವರೂ ಹೋದರು. ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿದನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾತ್ರ ಗೋಷೆನ್‌ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟರು.

3. 10ಅವರು ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಆಚೆ ಇರುವ ಆಟಾದ್‌ ಕಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧಿಕವಾದ ಮಹಾಗೋಳಾಟದಿಂದ ದುಃಖ ಪಟ್ಟರು. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗಾಗಿ ಏಳು ದಿವಸಗಳ ವರೆಗೆ ದುಃಖಪಟ್ಟನು.
4. 11ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಾದ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರು ಆಟಾದ್‌ ಕಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ದುಃಖವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ--ಇದು ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಘೋರವಾದ ದುಃಖ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಬೇಲ್‌ ಮಿಚ್ರಯಾಮ್‌ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಾಯಿತು. ಅದು ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಆಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
5. 12ಆಗ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ತನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
