There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown.

2. 3ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು--ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ವಿವಾದಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಷ್ಟೆ. ಆದರೂ ಅವನ ದಿನಗಳು ಇನ್ನು ನೂರ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರುಷಗಳಾಗಿರುವವು ಅಂದನು.
3. 4ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಹಾ ಶರೀರಗಳಾದವರು ಇದ್ದರು, ಆಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಇದ್ದರು; ದೇವಕುಮಾರರು ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿದಾಗ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತರು. ಇವರೇ ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧರಾದ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿ ಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದವರು.
4. 5ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವವು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದ್ದನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಹೃದಯದ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳ ಕಲ್ಪನೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಬರೀ ಕೆಟ್ಟವುಗಳೆಂದೂ ದೇವರು ನೋಡಿದನು.
5. 6ಕರ್ತನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪ ಪಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೊಂದುಕೊಂಡನು.
