ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ ಮೆಲ್ಕಿಜೆದೇಕನು ಲೇವಿಯ ಮೂಲ ಪುರಷನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡಾಗ ಇವನಲ್ಲಿ ಲೇವಿಯು ಅಡಕ ವಾಗಿದ್ದನು.

8ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯತಕ್ಕ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ದಶಮ ಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಆದರೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಹೊಂದಿರುವಾತನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
9ಇದು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ದಶಮಭಾಗ ಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಲೇವಿಯೂ ಕೂಡ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಮೂಲಕ ದಶಮ ಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಹಾಗಾಯಿ ತೆಂದು ನಾನು ಹೇಳಬಹುದು;
10ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ ಮೆಲ್ಕಿಜೆದೇಕನು ಲೇವಿಯ ಮೂಲ ಪುರಷನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡಾಗ ಇವನಲ್ಲಿ ಲೇವಿಯು ಅಡಕ ವಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
11ಲೇವಿಯ ಯಾಜಕತ್ವದಿಂದ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಸಿದ್ಧಿ ಉಂಟಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಆರೋನನ ತರಹದವನಾಗಿರದೆ ಮೆಲ್ಕಿ ಜೆದೇಕನ ತರಹದ ಬೇರೊಬ್ಬ ಯಾಜಕನು ಎದ್ದೇಳು ವದು ಅವಶ್ಯವೇನಿತ್ತು? (ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ನ್ಯಾಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದರು).
12ಯಾಜಕತ್ವವು ಬೇರೆಯಾದರೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವು ಕೂಡ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾಗುವದು ಅಗತ್ಯ.
