1. 5ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಕೂಡ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಗೋ, ಎಷ್ಟು ಕೊಂಚ ಕಿಚ್ಚು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಾಡನ್ನು ಸುಡುತ್ತದೆ ನೋಡಿರಿ.
2. 6ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಬೆಂಕಿಯೂ ದುಷ್ಟಲೋಕವೂ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಅದು ನಮ್ಮ ಅಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದು ದೇಹವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೊಲೆಮಾಡಿ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹಚ್ಚುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನರಕದ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಹಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ದಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದೆ.
3. 7ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಜಾತಿಯು ಸಕಲ ವಿಧವಾದ ಮೃಗ, ಪಕ್ಷಿ, ಸರ್ಪ, ಜಲಚರಗಳನ್ನು ಹತೋಟಿಗೆ ತರುವದುಂಟು ಮತ್ತು ತಂದದ್ದುಂಟು.
4. 8ಆದರೆ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಯಾವ ಮಾನವನೂ ಹತೋ ಟಿಗೆ ತರಲಾರನು. ಅದು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನವಾಗದ ಕೆಡುಕಾ ಗಿದೆ; ಮರಣಕರವಾದ ವಿಷದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿ ಇದೆ.
5. 9ಅದೇ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ; ಆದರಿಂದಲೇ ದೇವರ ಹೋಲಿಕೆಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ನಾವು ಶಪಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.
