ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಳೆ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಭೂಮಿಯು ಬಿರುಕುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗರು ನಾಚಿಕೆ ಯಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ತಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡರು.

- 6ಕಾಡು ಕತ್ತೆಗಳು ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ನರಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಹೀರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತವೆ; ಹುಲ್ಲು ಇಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಅವುಗಳ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಕ್ಷೀಣವಾಗುತ್ತವೆ.
