ಕಾಡು ಕತ್ತೆಗಳು ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ನರಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಹೀರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತವೆ; ಹುಲ್ಲು ಇಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಅವುಗಳ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಕ್ಷೀಣವಾಗುತ್ತವೆ.

- 7ಓ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳು ನಮಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಟ್ಟರೂ ನೀನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಡಿಸು; ನಮ್ಮ ಹಿಂಜರಿಯುವಿಕೆಗಳು ಅನೇಕವಾಗಿವೆ; ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
- 8ಓ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಣೆಯೇ, ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವಾತನೇ, ನೀನು ಯಾಕೆ ದೇಶದಲಿ ಅನ್ಯನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಕಳೆಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಸ್ಥನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇರಬೇಕು?
