ಹೇಗೆ ನೀರು ಸಮುದ್ರ ದಿಂದ ಮುಗಿದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೋ ಪ್ರವಾಹವು ಆರಿ ಬತ್ತಿಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ ಹಾಗೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಮಲಗುತ್ತಾನೆ,

Hege neeru samudra dinda mugidu hoguttado pravaahavu aari battihoguttade haage manushyanu malaguttaane,

9ನೀರಿನ ವಾಸನೆಯಿಂದ ಚಿಗುರಿ ಸಸಿಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಕೊಂಬೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡುವದು.
10ಆದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸತ್ತು ಕ್ಷಯಿಸಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಪ್ರಾಣ ಬಿಟ್ಟ ಬಳಿಕ ಅವನೆಲ್ಲಿರುವನು?
11ಹೇಗೆ ನೀರು ಸಮುದ್ರ ದಿಂದ ಮುಗಿದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೋ ಪ್ರವಾಹವು ಆರಿ ಬತ್ತಿಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ ಹಾಗೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಮಲಗುತ್ತಾನೆ,
12ಏಳುವದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಆಕಾಶಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಗುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಅವರು ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಳ್ಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿದ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
13ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮರೆಮಾಡಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕೋಪವು ತಿರುಗುವ ವರೆಗೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸಿ ನನಗೆ ನೇಮಕವಾದ ಸಮಯವನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ಲೇಸು.
