ಸೀಮೋನ ಪೇತ್ರನೂ ದಿದುಮನೆಂಬ ತೋಮನೂ ಗಲಿಲಾಯದ ಕಾನಾ ಊರಿನ ನತಾನಯೇಲನೂ ಜೆಬೆದಾಯನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿದ್ದರು.

- 3ಆಗ ಸೀಮೋನ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ವಿಾನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅನ್ನಲು ಅವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ಸಹ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬರುತ್ತೇವೆ ಅಂದರು. ಅವರು ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಕೂಡಲೆ ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಆ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ಹಿಡಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
- 4ಬೆಳಗಾದಾಗ ಯೇಸು ದಡದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದನು. ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ಯೇಸು ಎಂದು ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
