ತರು ವಾಯ ದಿದುಮನೆಂಬ ತೋಮನು ತನ್ನ ಜೊತೆ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ಸಹ ಆತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಾಯುವಂತೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ ಅಂದನು.

Taru vaaya didumanemba tomanu tanna jote shishyarige--naavu saha aatanondige saayuvante hogona andanu.

14ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಲಾಜರನು ಸತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
15ನೀವು ನಂಬು ವಂತೆ ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಾನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಹೇಗೂ ನಾವು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.

17ತರುವಾಯ ಯೇಸು ಬಂದಾಗ ಲಾಜರನನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟು ಆಗಲೇ ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿವಸಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದ ವೆಂದು ಆತನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡನು;
18ಬೇಥಾನ್ಯವು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುಕಡಿಮೆ ಒಂದು ಹರದಾರಿ ಯಷ್ಟು ಸವಿಾಪದಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು.
