1. 2ಸೀಮೋನ ಪೇತ್ರನೂ ದಿದುಮನೆಂಬ ತೋಮನೂ ಗಲಿಲಾಯದ ಕಾನಾ ಊರಿನ ನತಾನಯೇಲನೂ ಜೆಬೆದಾಯನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿದ್ದರು.
2. 3ಆಗ ಸೀಮೋನ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ವಿಾನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅನ್ನಲು ಅವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ಸಹ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬರುತ್ತೇವೆ ಅಂದರು. ಅವರು ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಕೂಡಲೆ ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಆ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ಹಿಡಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
3. 4ಬೆಳಗಾದಾಗ ಯೇಸು ದಡದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದನು. ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ಯೇಸು ಎಂದು ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
4. 5ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಮಕ್ಕಳಿರಾ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಏನಾದರೂ ಇದೆಯೋ ಅನ್ನಲು ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
5. 6ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ದೋಣಿಯ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬೀಸಿರಿ; ಆಗ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವದು ಅಂದನು. ಅವರು ಬೀಸಿದಾಗ ವಿಾನುಗಳ ರಾಶಿಯ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ಎಳೆಯಲಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದರು.
