ತಾನೂ ತನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ತನ್ನ ದನಗಳೂ ಈ ಬಾವಿ ಯಿಂದ ಕುಡಿದು ನಮಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗಿಂತ ನೀನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ವನೋ? ಅಂದಳು.

- 11ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಅಯ್ಯಾ, ಸೇದುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾವಿ ಅಳವಾಗಿದೆ; ಹೀಗಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಜೀವಕರವಾದ ನೀರು ನಿನಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂತು?
- 12ತಾನೂ ತನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ತನ್ನ ದನಗಳೂ ಈ ಬಾವಿ ಯಿಂದ ಕುಡಿದು ನಮಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗಿಂತ ನೀನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ವನೋ? ಅಂದಳು.
- 13ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಆಕೆಗೆ--ಈ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ನೀರಡಿಕೆಯಾಗುವದು;
- 14ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಕೊಡುವ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವವನಿಗೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ನೀರ ಡಿಕೆಯಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ನೀರು ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಉಕ್ಕುವ ನೀರಿನ ಬಾವಿಯಾಗಿರುವದು ಅಂದನು.
