ಆಗ ಯಾಕೋ ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಸವಿಾಪದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸುಖರ್‌ ಎಂಬ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು ಬಂದನು.

Aaga yaako banu tanna maganaada yosephanige kotta bhoomiya saviాpadalliruva sukhar emba samaaryada pattanakke aatanu bandanu.

3ಆಗ ಆತನು ಯೂದಾಯ ವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಗಲಿಲಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದನು.
4ಆತನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಬೇಕಾದದ್ದು ಅವಶ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
5ಆಗ ಯಾಕೋ ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಸವಿಾಪದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸುಖರ್‌ ಎಂಬ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು ಬಂದನು.
6ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಬಾವಿ ಇತ್ತು; ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರಯಾಣದಿಂದ ಆಯಾಸಗೊಂಡಿರಲಾಗಿ ಆ ಬಾವಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡನು. ಆಗ ಸುಮಾರು ಆರನೇ ತಾಸಾಗಿತ್ತು. (ಅಂದರೆ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಗಂಟೆಯಾ ಗಿತ್ತು).
7ಆಗ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ನೀರು ಸೇದುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದಳು; ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಗೆ--ನನಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡು ಅಂದನು.
