1. 17ಅವರು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕುರುಡನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದಾತನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನೀನು ಏನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀ ಅಂದಾಗ ಅವನು--ಆತನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಅಂದನು.
2. 18ಆದರೆ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಹೊಂದಿದವನ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿ ಗಳನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುವವರೆಗೆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಅವನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಕುರುಡನಾಗಿದ್ದು ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಹೊಂದಿ ದನೆಂದು ನಂಬಲಿಲ್ಲ.
3. 19ಅವರು--ಕುರುಡನಾಗಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದನೆಂದು ನೀವು ಹೇಳುವ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಗನು ಇವನೋ? ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಈಗ ಅವನು ಹೇಗೆ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
4. 20ಅವನ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಅವನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮಗನೆಂದೂ ಅವನು ಕುರುಡನಾಗಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ನೆಂದೂ ನಾವು ಬಲ್ಲೆವು.
5. 21ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಈಗ ಯಾವದರ ಮೂಲಕ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾನೋ ನಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಯಾರು ಅವನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದರೋ ಅದೂ ನಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನು ಪ್ರಾಯದವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅವನನ್ನೇ ಕೇಳಿರಿ; ಅವನೇ ತನ್ನ ವಿಷಯ ಮಾತನಾಡುವನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
