ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಜನರ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿ--

- 8ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಹೋಗಬಾರದು; ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ರಾತ್ರಿಹಗಲು ಅದನ್ನು ಧ್ಯಾನಿಸಬೇಕು. ಆಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸಫಲಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಮಹಾ ಜಯಶಾಲಿಯಾಗುವಿ.
- 9ನಿನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾ ಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನಲ್ಲಾ; ಬಲವಾಗಿರು, ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದಿರು; ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ, ನಿರಾಶೆಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ. ನೀನು ಹೋಗು ವಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
- 10ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಜನರ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿ--
- 11ನೀವು ದಂಡಿನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನಿಮ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಇನ್ನು ಮೂರು ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯೊರ್ದನನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗ ಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.
- 12ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ರೂಬೇನ್ಯರಿಗೂ ಗಾದ್ಯರಿಗೂ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಅರ್ಧಗೋತ್ರದವರಿಗೂ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ --
