ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಉಪನಗರಗಳನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಲೇವಿಯರಿಗೆ ಚೀಟುಹಾಕಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

- 9ಆದರೆ ಲೇವಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲನೇ ಚೀಟು ಬಿದ್ದ ಕೆಹಾತ್ಯರ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಆರೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಯೂದನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ಹೆಸರುಗಳು
- 10ಯಾವವಂದರೆ--ಲೇವಿ ಕುಲದವರೂ ಕೆಹಾತನ ಗೋತ್ರದವರೂ ಆದ ಆರೋನನ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಗೆ ಚೀಟು ಮೊದಲು ಬಿದದ್ದರಿಂದ
