ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರಾದ ಸಿಮೆ ಯೋನ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೊರಟು ಚೆಫತ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿ ರುವ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಹೋರ್ಮಾ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.
Yehoodyaru tamma sahodararaada sime yonyara sangada horatu chephatnalli vaasavaagi ruva kaanaanyarannu kondu aa pattanavannu nirmoola maadidaru. Aa pattanavu hormaa endu kareyalpattitu.

- 18ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೂದನು ಗಾಜಾವನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಮೇರೆಯನ್ನೂ ಅಷ್ಕೆಲೋನನ್ನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಮೇರೆಯನ್ನೂ ಎಕ್ರೋನನ್ನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಮೇರೆ ಯನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡನು.
- 19ಕರ್ತನು ಯೂದನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು; ಆದರೆ ತಗ್ಗಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಬ್ಬಿ ಣದ ರಥಗಳಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊರ ಡಿಸಲಾರದೆ ಹೋದನು.
