ಯೂದನು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ನನ್ನ ಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾ, ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡೋಣ; ನಾನು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ನಿನ್ನ ಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವೆನು ಅಂದನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋದನು.
Yoodanu tanna sahodaranaada simeyonanige--neenu nanna sangada nanna bhaagakke baa, kaanaanyara mele yuddhamaadona; naanu haageye ninna sangada ninna bhaagakke baruvenu andanu. Heege simeyonanu avana sangada hodanu.

- 4ಯೂದನು ಹೋದಾಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಪೆರಿಜ್ಜೀಯರನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಬೆಜೆಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದರು.
- 5ಅವರು ಬೆಜೆಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅದೋನೀಬೆಜೆಕನನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಪೆರಿಜ್ಜೀಯರನ್ನೂ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರು.
