ಆ ವರುಷ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡ ಅವರು ಹದಿನೆಂಟು ವರುಷ ಯೊರ್ದನಿಗೆ ಆಚೆ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮೋರಿಯರ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಾಧಿಸಿ ಕುಂದಿಸಿದರು.

- 7ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಅವ ರನ್ನು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಕೈಗೂ ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕೈಗೂ ಮಾರಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
- 8ಆ ವರುಷ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡ ಅವರು ಹದಿನೆಂಟು ವರುಷ ಯೊರ್ದನಿಗೆ ಆಚೆ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮೋರಿಯರ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಾಧಿಸಿ ಕುಂದಿಸಿದರು.
- 9ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಯೆಹೂದನಿಗೆ ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾ ಗಿಯೂ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್‌ ಮನೆಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೊರ್ದನನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಬಂದರು. ಹೀಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿಗೆ ಬಹುಸಂಕಟವಾಯಿತು.
- 10ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಕೂಗಿ--ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಾಳನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿದೆವು ಅಂದರು.
