ಹೀಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಯೆಪ್ತಾಹನು ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಅರಸನು ಕೇಳದೆ ಹೋದನು.

- 27ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನೀನೇ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವದರಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀ. ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಈಹೊತ್ತು ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಮಧ್ಯ ದಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಲಿ.
- 28ಹೀಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಯೆಪ್ತಾಹನು ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಅರಸನು ಕೇಳದೆ ಹೋದನು.
- 29ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಯೆಪ್ತಾಹನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂತು. ಅವನು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್‌ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಸೀಮೆಗಳನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮಿಚ್ಪೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆದುರಿಗೆ ಹಾದುಹೋದನು.
- 30ಯೆಪ್ತಾಹನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ--ನೀನು ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ
