2. 5ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ಹಿರಿಯರು ಯೆಫ್ತಾಹ ನನ್ನು ಟೋಬ್‌ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲು ಹೋಗಿ
3. 6ಯೆಫ್ತಾಹನಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ನೀನು ಬಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಯಾಗಿರು ಅಂದರು.
4. 7ಆಗ ಯೆಫ್ತಾಹನು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದವರು ನೀವ ಲ್ಲವೋ? ಈಗ ನಿಮಗೆ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟು ಬಂದಿರುವಾಗ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಬಂದಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.
5. 8ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ಹಿರಿಯರು ಯೆಫ್ತಾಹನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಾದ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ನೀನು ತಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಈಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬಂದೆವು ಅಂದರು.
