2. 2ಯೆಪ್ತಾ ಹನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನನಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಜನಕ್ಕೂ ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಂಗಡ ದೊಡ್ಡ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಿರುವಾಗ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕರೆದೆನು; ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
3. 3ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವದಿ ಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಾನು ಕಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡುಕೊಂಡು ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹೋದೆನು; ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಈಹೊತ್ತು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯಾಕೆ ಬಂದಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.
4. 4ಆಗ ಯೆಪ್ತಾಹನು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್‌ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿ ದನು. ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್ಯರಾದ ನೀವು ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್‌ ಮನಸ್ಸೆ ಯವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್ಯರು ಎಂದು ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್ಯರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್ಯರು ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್ಯರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದರು.
5. 5ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್ಯರು ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್ಯರ ಮುಂದುಗಡೆ ಇರುವ ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ರೇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದರು. ಆಗ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ--ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಬಂದು--ದಾಟುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ; ಗಿಲ್ಯಾ ದ್ಯರು--ನೀನು ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್ಯನೋ? ಎಂದು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವನು--ಅಲ್ಲ ಅಂದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ನೀವು--ಷಿಬ್ಬೋಲೆತ್‌ ಅನ್ನಬೇಕು ಅಂದರು.
