ಅದನ್ನು ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಾ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ತಾಯಿಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು; ಅವರೂ ತಿಂದರು. ಆದರೆ ಸಿಂಹದ ಹೆಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನು ಜೇನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡೆನೆಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.

King James Version (KJV): And he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion.
World English Bible (WEB): He took it into his hands, and went on, eating as he went. He came to his father and mother and gave to them, and they ate, but he didn’t tell them that he had taken the honey out of the lion’s body.

8ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸಮಯವಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನು ಅವಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬರುವಾಗ ಸಿಂಹದ ಹೆಣವನ್ನು ನೋಡಲು ಪಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು. ಇಗೋ, ಸಿಂಹದ ಹೆಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೇನು ಹುಳಗಳೂ ಜೇನೂ ಇದ್ದವು.

10ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಇರುವ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರು ಮಾಡುವ ಮರ್ಯಾದೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ, ಸಂಸೋನನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಔತಣಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು.
11ತರು ವಾಯ ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಲಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಸಂಗಡಿಗರನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
