1. 5ಆಗ ಸಂಸೋನನೂ ಅವನ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಯೂ ತಿಮ್ನಾಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ತಿಮ್ನಾದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ತೋಟಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಸಿಂಹವು ಅವನ ಎದುರಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಗರ್ಜಿಸಿತು.
2. 6ಆಗ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಮೇಕೆ ಮರಿಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಸೀಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ತಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
3. 7ಅವನು ಹೋಗಿ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾ ಡಿದನು. ಅವಳು ಸಂಸೋನನ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪುವವಳಾ ಗಿದ್ದಳು.
4. 8ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸಮಯವಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನು ಅವಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬರುವಾಗ ಸಿಂಹದ ಹೆಣವನ್ನು ನೋಡಲು ಪಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು. ಇಗೋ, ಸಿಂಹದ ಹೆಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೇನು ಹುಳಗಳೂ ಜೇನೂ ಇದ್ದವು.
5. 9ಅದನ್ನು ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಾ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ತಾಯಿಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು; ಅವರೂ ತಿಂದರು. ಆದರೆ ಸಿಂಹದ ಹೆಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನು ಜೇನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡೆನೆಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
