ಆಗ ಸಂಸೋನನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕುರಿತುನಾನು ಈ ಸಾರಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರಿಗೆ ಕೇಡನ್ನುಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಅವರಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಯಾಗಿರುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗಿ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ನರಿ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು

King James Version (KJV): And Samson said concerning them, Now shall I be more blameless than the Philistines, though I do them a displeasure.

1ಕೆಲವು ದಿನಗಳ ತರುವಾಯ ಆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, ಗೋಧಿಯ ಸುಗ್ಗೀ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಸೋನನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಮೇಕೆಯ ಮರಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನು--ನನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಠಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
2ಆದರೆ ಅವಳ ತಂದೆಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಗೊಡದೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಅವ ಳನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿದಿ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದು ಅವಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಯವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು. ಅವಳ ತಂಗಿ ಅವಳಿಗಿಂತ ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ದ್ದಾಳಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಇವಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೋ ಅಂದನು.
3ಆಗ ಸಂಸೋನನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕುರಿತುನಾನು ಈ ಸಾರಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರಿಗೆ ಕೇಡನ್ನುಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಅವರಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಯಾಗಿರುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗಿ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ನರಿ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು
4ಪಂಜುಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಬಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಲ ಸೇರಿಸಿ ಎರಡು ಬಾಲಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಒಂದು ಪಂಜನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ
5ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಹಚ್ಚಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಪೈರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ತೆನೆ ಗೂಡುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪೈರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟಗಳನ್ನೂ ಇಪ್ಪೆಯ ತೋಪುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೂಡ ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
