ಅವನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡದೆ ಇರುವ ಹೊಸ ಹಗ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದರೆ ನಾನು ಬಲಹೀನನಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಹಾಗೆ ಇರುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.

- 9ಹೊಂಚುಗಾರರು ಅವಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೊಠಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ದರು. ಅವಳು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಸಂಸೋನನೇ, ಪಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿ ಯರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಅಂದಳು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಬೆಂಕಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಸಣಬಿನ ಹುರಿಹರಿದು ಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಾರಿನ ಬರಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವನ ಶಕ್ತಿ ತಿಳಿಯಲ್ಪಡದೆ ಹೋಯಿತು.
- 10ದೆಲೀಲಳು ಸಂಸೋನನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ವಂಚನೆಮಾಡಿ ನನಗೆ ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದಿ. ಈಗ ನೀನು ಯಾವದರಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಡಬಹುದೋ ನನಗೆ ದಯಮಾಡಿ ತಿಳಿಸು ಅಂದಳು.
- 11ಅವನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡದೆ ಇರುವ ಹೊಸ ಹಗ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದರೆ ನಾನು ಬಲಹೀನನಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಹಾಗೆ ಇರುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
- 12ಆಗ ದೆಲೀಲಳು ಹೊಸ ಹಗ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಸಂಸೋನನೇ, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಅಂದಳು. ಹೊಂಚುಗಾರರು ಕೊಠಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತೋಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವವುಗಳನ್ನು ದಾರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಹರಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
- 13ದೆಲೀಲಳು ಸಂಸೋನನಿಗೆ--ಈ ವರೆಗೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ವಂಚನೆಮಾಡಿ ನನಗೆ ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದಿ. ನೀನು ಯಾವದರಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಡಬಹುದೋ ತಿಳಿಸು ಅಂದಳು. ಅವನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ತಲೆಯ ಏಳು ಜಡೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಮಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಯ್ದರೆ ಆಗುವದು ಅಂದನು.
