ಆಗ ದೆಲೀಲಳು ಹೊಸ ಹಗ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಸಂಸೋನನೇ, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಅಂದಳು. ಹೊಂಚುಗಾರರು ಕೊಠಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತೋಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವವುಗಳನ್ನು ದಾರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಹರಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟನು.

King James Version (KJV): Delilah therefore took new ropes, and bound him therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines [be] upon thee, Samson. And [there were] liers in wait abiding in the chamber. And he brake them from off his arms like a thread.

10ದೆಲೀಲಳು ಸಂಸೋನನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ವಂಚನೆಮಾಡಿ ನನಗೆ ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದಿ. ಈಗ ನೀನು ಯಾವದರಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಡಬಹುದೋ ನನಗೆ ದಯಮಾಡಿ ತಿಳಿಸು ಅಂದಳು.
11ಅವನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡದೆ ಇರುವ ಹೊಸ ಹಗ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದರೆ ನಾನು ಬಲಹೀನನಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಹಾಗೆ ಇರುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
12ಆಗ ದೆಲೀಲಳು ಹೊಸ ಹಗ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಸಂಸೋನನೇ, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಅಂದಳು. ಹೊಂಚುಗಾರರು ಕೊಠಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತೋಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವವುಗಳನ್ನು ದಾರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಹರಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
13ದೆಲೀಲಳು ಸಂಸೋನನಿಗೆ--ಈ ವರೆಗೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ವಂಚನೆಮಾಡಿ ನನಗೆ ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದಿ. ನೀನು ಯಾವದರಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಡಬಹುದೋ ತಿಳಿಸು ಅಂದಳು. ಅವನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ತಲೆಯ ಏಳು ಜಡೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಮಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಯ್ದರೆ ಆಗುವದು ಅಂದನು.
14ಆಗ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಗೂಟದಿಂದ ಭದ್ರಮಾಡಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಸಂಸೋನನೇ, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಅಂದಳು. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ನಿದ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ಎಚ್ಚತ್ತು ಎದ್ದು ಮಗ್ಗವನ್ನೂ ಮಗ್ಗದ ಗೂಟವನ್ನೂ ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದನು.
