ಗಿಬೆಯದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆದು ಕೊಳ್ಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಏಳುನೂರು ಜನರಾಗಿ ಎಣಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಂದ ಬಂದು ಕೂಡಿದ, ಕತ್ತಿ ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಾದ ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತಾರು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರಾಗಿ ಎಣಿಸ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರು.

- 14ಆದರೆ ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿ ಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಂದ ಗಿಬೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ಕೂಡಿದರು.

- 16ಈ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಏಳುನೂರು ಜನರು ಬಲಗೈ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸವಿಲ್ಲದವರಾಗಿ ದ್ದರು. ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಂದು ಕೂದಲೆಳೆ ತಪ್ಪದ ಹಾಗೆ ಕವಣೆಯಿಂದ ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆಯುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
- 17ಬೆನ್ಯಾ ವಿಾನನವರ ಹೊರತು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕತ್ತಿ ಹಿಡಿ ಯುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ನಾಲ್ಕು ಲಕ್ಷ ಜನರೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರು. ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯುದ್ಧದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
