ಹೀಗೆ ಬೆನ್ಯಾ ವಿಾನ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಮುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ, ಗಿಬೆಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂಡಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾವಕಾಶ ವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ತುಳಿದುಹಾಕಿದರು.

41ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ತಿರುಗಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಾಗ ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಜನರು ತಲ್ಲಣ ಗೊಂಡರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೇಡು ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತವಾಯಿತೆಂದು ಕಂಡರು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮನು ಷ್ಯರ ಮುಂದೆ ಅರಣ್ಯದ ಮಾರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು.
42ಆದರೆ ಯುದ್ಧವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿ ಯಿತು. ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಬರುವ ಜನರನ್ನು ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರು.
43ಹೀಗೆ ಬೆನ್ಯಾ ವಿಾನ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಮುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ, ಗಿಬೆಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂಡಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾವಕಾಶ ವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ತುಳಿದುಹಾಕಿದರು.
44ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಹದಿನೆಂಟು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರು ಬಿದ್ದರು. ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
45ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ತಿರುಗಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ರಿಮ್ಮೋನ್‌ ಬಂಡೆಗೆ ಓಡಿ ಹೋದರು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರನ್ನು ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಕ್ಕಲಾರಿಸಿ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರು. ಕಡಿಮೆಯ ವರನ್ನು ಗಿದೋಮಿನ ವರೆಗೆ ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಸಾವಿರ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ವಧಿಸಿದರು.
