ಆದರೆ ಆಭರಣಗಳೂ ಕಂಠಮಾಲೆ ಗಳೂ ಮಿದ್ಯಾನ್ಯರ ಅರಸುಗಳು ಹೊದ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ರಕ್ತಾಂಬರ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳೂ ಅವರ ಒಂಟೆಗಳ ಕೊರಳಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದ ಸರಪಣಿಗಳೂ ಹೊರತು ಅವನು ಕೇಳಿ ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡ ಬಂಗಾರದ ವಾಲೆಗಳ ತೂಕವು ಸಾವಿರದ ಏಳು ನೂರು ಶೆಕೆಲ್‌ ತೂಕವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

- 24ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನು--ಒಂದು ಬಿನ್ನಹವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಪ್ರತಿ ಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ ಹೊಡೆದ ವಾಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡಿರಿ ಅಂದನು. (ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇ ಲ್ಯರಾಗಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಮುರುವು ಗಳಿದ್ದವು).

- 26ಆದರೆ ಆಭರಣಗಳೂ ಕಂಠಮಾಲೆ ಗಳೂ ಮಿದ್ಯಾನ್ಯರ ಅರಸುಗಳು ಹೊದ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ರಕ್ತಾಂಬರ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳೂ ಅವರ ಒಂಟೆಗಳ ಕೊರಳಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದ ಸರಪಣಿಗಳೂ ಹೊರತು ಅವನು ಕೇಳಿ ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡ ಬಂಗಾರದ ವಾಲೆಗಳ ತೂಕವು ಸಾವಿರದ ಏಳು ನೂರು ಶೆಕೆಲ್‌ ತೂಕವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
- 27ಆ ಬಂಗಾರ ದಿಂದ ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನು ಒಂದು ಏಫೋದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಊರಾದ ಒಫ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟನು. ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅದರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಜಾರರಾಗಿ ಹೋದರು. ಅದು ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಮನೆಗೂ ಉರುಲಾಯಿತು.
- 28ಮಿದ್ಯಾನ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಎತ್ತಕೂಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮುಂದೆ ತಗ್ಗಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರು. ದೇಶವು ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನ ದಿವಸ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ವರುಷ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು.
