ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರೂ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ಶೆಕೆಮಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಗುಂಪಾಗಿ ಹೊಂಚಿ ಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
Haageye abeemelekanoo avana sangada idda samasta janaroo raatriyalli eddu shekemige virodhavaagi naalku gumpaagi honchi kondiddaru.

- 33ಹೊತ್ತಾರೆ ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಉದಯಿಸುವಾಗ ನೀನು ಎದ್ದು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳಬೇಕು; ಇಗೋ, ಅವನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ಜನರೂ ನಿಮಗೆದು ರಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟು ಬರುವಾಗ ನಿನಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲ ತೋರಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
- 34ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರೂ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ಶೆಕೆಮಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಗುಂಪಾಗಿ ಹೊಂಚಿ ಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
- 35ಎಬೆದನ ಮಗನಾದ ಗಾಳನು ಹೊರಟು ಬಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಬಾಗಲಿನ ದ್ವಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತನು. ಆಗ ಹೊಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಜನರೂ ಎದ್ದುಬಂದರು.
- 36ಗಾಳನು ಆ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ--ಇಗೋ, ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಶಿಖರಗಳಿಂದ ಜನರು ಇಳಿದು ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಜೆಬುಲನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಜೆಬುಲನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ನೆರಳನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರಂತೆ ನೋಡುತ್ತೀ ಅಂದನು.
