ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನ ಮೇಜಿ ನಿಂದ ಬೀಳುವ (ರೊಟ್ಟಿ) ತುಂಡುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು ಆಶೆಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾಯಿಗಳು ಬಂದು ಅವನ ಹುಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಕ್ಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು.
