1. 7ಆದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಉಳುವ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ದನಕರು ಕಾಯುವ ಆಳಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಹೊಲದಿಂದ ಬಂದಾ ಗಲೇ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಹೋಗಿ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂತುಕೋ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವದುಂಟೇ?
2. 8ಹಾಗೆ ಹೇಳದೆ--ನಾನು ಊಟ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ನಡುವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಕೊಂಡು ನಾನು ತಿಂದು ಕುಡಿಯುವ ತನಕ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡು; ತರುವಾಯ ನೀನು ತಿಂದು ಕುಡಿ ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳುವದಿಲ್ಲವೇ?
3. 9ತನಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆ ಆಳು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ (ಯಜಮಾ ನನು) ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿರುವನೋ? ನಾನು ನೆನಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
4. 10ಅದೇ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೀವು ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ-- ನಾವು ನಿಷ್ಪ್ರಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಆಳುಗಳು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾವು ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ನೀವು ಅನ್ನಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
5. 11ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಸಮಾರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಗಲಿಲಾಯಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾದುಹೋದನು.
