1. 23ಅವನು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಬಹಳ ದುಃಖವುಳ್ಳವನಾದನು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಬಹಳ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
2. 24ಅವನು ಬಹಳ ವ್ಯಥೆಗೊಂಡದ್ದನ್ನು ಯೇಸು ನೋಡಿ--ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯ ವಂತರು ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವದು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಕಷ್ಟ.
3. 25ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನು ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಒಂಟೆಯು ಸೂಜಿಯ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತೂರುವದು ಸುಲಭ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
4. 26ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದವರು--ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದುವವರು ಯಾರು? ಅಂದರು.
5. 27ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು--ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದವುಗಳು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
