ಹೀಗೆ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿ ಸಹೋದರರು ಇರಲಾಗಿ ಮೊದಲನೆಯವನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸತ್ತನು.

- 28ಬೋಧಕನೇ, ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಇದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸತ್ತರೆ ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರನು ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋ ದರನಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮೋಶೆಯು ನಮಗೆ ಬರೆದುಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

- 30ಎರಡನೆಯ ವನು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸತ್ತನು.
- 31ಮೂರನೆಯವನು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾದನು; ಅದೇ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳು ಜನರು ಸಹ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸತ್ತರು.
