ಆಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅದೇ ದಿನ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು ಏಳುವರೆ ಮೈಲು ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎಮ್ಮಾಹು ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

King James Version (KJV): And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem [about] threescore furlongs.
World English Bible (WEB): Behold, two of them were going that very day to a village named Emmaus, which was sixty stadia from Jerusalem.

11ಅವರ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಇವರಿಗೆ ಹರಟೆಯ ಕಥೆಗಳಂತೆ ಕಂಡವು, ಅವರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಂಬಲಿಲ್ಲ.
12ಆಗ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಎದ್ದು ಸಮಾಧಿಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬೊಗ್ಗಿ ನಾರುಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳು ಮಾತ್ರ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ನಡೆದ ವಿಷಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತನ್ನೊಳಗೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಡುತ್ತಾ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು.
13ಆಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅದೇ ದಿನ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು ಏಳುವರೆ ಮೈಲು ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎಮ್ಮಾಹು ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
14ಅವರು ನಡೆದ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
15ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ಜೊತೆ ಯಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ತರ್ಕಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇರಲು ಯೇಸು ತಾನೇ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸವಿಾಪಿಸಿ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.
