2. 2ಆಗ ಆತನು ಕೆರೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ದೋಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡನು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಸ್ತರು ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
3. 3ಆಗ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೀಮೋನನದಾಗಿದ್ದ ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಆತನು ಹತ್ತಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯಿಂದ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ನೂಕ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಆತನು ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡು ದೋಣಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದನು.
4. 4ಆತನು ಮಾತನಾಡುವದನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸೀಮೋನನಿಗೆ--(ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು) ಆಳವಾದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ನಡಿಸಿ ವಿಾನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬೀಸಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
5. 5ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಸೀಮೋನನು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಗುರುವೇ, ನಾವು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಟ್ಟೆವು. ಆದರೆ ಏನೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ನಾನು ಬಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬೀಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
