ಆಗ ಆತನು ಕೆರೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ದೋಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡನು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಸ್ತರು ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

1ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನು ಗೆನೇಜರೆತ್‌ ಕೆರೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಗ ಜನರು ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ನೂಕಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
2ಆಗ ಆತನು ಕೆರೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ದೋಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡನು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಸ್ತರು ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
3ಆಗ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೀಮೋನನದಾಗಿದ್ದ ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಆತನು ಹತ್ತಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯಿಂದ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ನೂಕ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಆತನು ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡು ದೋಣಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದನು.
4ಆತನು ಮಾತನಾಡುವದನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸೀಮೋನನಿಗೆ--(ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು) ಆಳವಾದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ನಡಿಸಿ ವಿಾನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬೀಸಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
