ಆತನು ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನೋಡಿ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈ ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಚು ಅಂದನು. ಅವನು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿದನು; ಆಗ ಅವನ ಕೈ ಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತೊಂದರಂತೆ ಆಯಿತು.

- 9ತರು ವಾಯ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಿಮಗೆ ಒಂದು ಸಂಗತಿ ಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಸಬ್ಬತ್‌ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದು ನ್ಯಾಯವೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದು ಮಾಡುವದೋ? ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವದೋ, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅದನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವದೋ ಅಂದನು.

- 11ಆಗ ಅವರು ಕೋಪದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದವರಾಗಿ ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ತಾವು ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
- 12ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನು ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ಬೆಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದನು.
