3. 6ಯೋಹಾನನು ಒಂಟೇ ಕೂದಲಿನ ಉಡುಪನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ನಡುವಿಗೆ ಚರ್ಮದ ನಡುಕಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಮಿಡಿತೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಾಡುಜೇನನ್ನೂ ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
4. 7ಮತ್ತು ಅವನು--ನನಗಿಂತ ಶಕ್ತನಾಗಿರುವಾತನು ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ; ನಾನು ಬೊಗ್ಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಆತನ ಕೆರಗಳ ಬಾರನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಯೋಗ್ಯನಲ್ಲ;
5. 8ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ್ದು ನಿಜವೇ. ಆತನಾ ದರೋ ನಿಮಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನಿಂದ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸು ವನು ಎಂದು ಸಾರಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
