1. 5ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಅವನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದ ಕಾಠಿಣ್ಯದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಈ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಬರೆದನು.
2. 6ಆದರೆ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭದಿಂದಲೇ ದೇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗಂಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
3. 7ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನೂ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
4. 8ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರು ಒಂದೇ ಶರೀರವಾಗಿರುವರು; ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಇನ್ನು ಇಬ್ಬರಲ್ಲ, ಒಂದೇ ಶರೀರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
5. 9ಆದದರಿಂದ ದೇವರು ಕೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅಗಲಿಸದಿರಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
