ಅದಕ್ಕಾತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಅವನು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು, ಅಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅದ್ದುವವನೇ.

- 18ಅವರು ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡು ಊಟಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಊಟ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡುಕೊಡುವನು ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
- 19ಆಗ ಅವರು ದುಃಖಿಸ ಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿ ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬರಾಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಅದು ನಾನೋ? ಮತ್ತು ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನು--ಅದು ನಾನೋ? ಎಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
- 20ಅದಕ್ಕಾತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಅವನು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು, ಅಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅದ್ದುವವನೇ.
- 21ತನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಕುಮಾರನು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆದರೆ ಯಾವನಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನು ಹಿಡುಕೊಡಲ್ಪಡು ತ್ತಾನೋ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಅಯ್ಯೋ! ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಹುಟ್ಟದೆಹೋಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
- 22ಅವರು ಊಟಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಯೇಸು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ ಮುರಿದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು--ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ತಿನ್ನಿರಿ; ಇದು ನನ್ನ ದೇಹ ಅಂದನು.
