ಅಲೆಕ್ಸಾಂದ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ರೂಫ ಎಂಬವರ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಕುರೇನ್ಯದ ಸೀಮೋನ ಎಂಬವನು ಗ್ರಾಮದಿಂದ ಬಂದು ಹಾದುಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಆತನ ಶಿಲುಬೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರುವಂತೆ ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಲವಂತ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
