ಆತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯು ತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲವಾದಾಗ ಆಕಾಶವು ಕೆಂಪಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಹವಾಮಾನ ಇರುವದೆಂದೂ

- 3ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಆಕಾಶವು ಮೋಡಕವಿದು ಕೆಂಪಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ--ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಹವಾಮಾನ ಇದೆಯೆಂದೂ ನೀವು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತೀರಿ. ಓ ಕಪಟಿಗಳೇ, ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಾಗುವ ಸೂಚನೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ನೀವು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಬಲ್ಲಿರಿ; ಆದರೆ ಸಮಯಗಳ ಸೂಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀವು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಾರಿರಾ?
- 4ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿ ಯಾದ ಈ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಸಂತತಿಯು ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೋನನಲ್ಲಿ ಆದ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯವೇ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯವೂ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ತರುವಾಯ ಆತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು.
