ಅವನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ--ಅವನು ಸತ್ತವರೊ ಳಗಿಂದ ಎದ್ದಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಕೊನೆಯ ತಪ್ಪು ಮೊದಲನೆಯದಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದಾಗು ವದು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಮೂರನೆಯ ದಿನದ ವರೆಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಿಯನ್ನು ಭದ್ರಪಡಿಸುವಂತೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಡ ಬೇಕು ಅಂ

King James Version (KJV): Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.

65ಪಿಲಾತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಕಾವಲು ಗಾರರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಇದ್ದಾರಲ್ಲಾ, ನೀವು ಹೋಗಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಭದ್ರಪಡಿಸಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.ಅವರು ಹೋಗಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಯನ್ನು ಭದ್ರಪಡಿಸಿ ಕಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಮುದ್ರೆಹಾಕಿ ಕಾವಲನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟರು.
