ನಾವು ನಿದ್ರೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕದ್ದು ಕೊಂಡುಹೋದ ರೆಂದು ನೀವು ಹೇಳಿರಿ;

11ಅವರು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕರಿಗೆ ನಡೆದ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
12ಮತ್ತು ಇವರು ಹಿರಿಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಿಬಂದು ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಸೈನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಹಣಕೊಟ್ಟು --
13ನಾವು ನಿದ್ರೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕದ್ದು ಕೊಂಡುಹೋದ ರೆಂದು ನೀವು ಹೇಳಿರಿ;
14ಇದನ್ನು ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾವು ಅವನನ್ನು ಒಡಂಬಡಿಸುವೆವು ಅಂದರು.
15ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಆ ಹಣವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ತಮಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಈ ಮಾತು ಸಾಧಾರಣವಾಗಿ ಈ ದಿನದ ವರೆಗೂ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಡಿ ಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.
