ಅವರು ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಪರದೇಶಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೂಣಿಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ಹಣದಿಂದ ಕುಂಬಾರನ ಹೊಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡರು.

5ಮತ್ತು ಅವನು ಆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಸಾಡಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಉರ್ಲು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡನು.
6ಆಗ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕರು ಆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು--ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಬೊಕ್ಕಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕು ವದು ನ್ಯಾಯವಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅದು ರಕ್ತದಕ್ರಯ ವಾಗಿದೆ ಅಂದರು.
7ಅವರು ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಪರದೇಶಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೂಣಿಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ಹಣದಿಂದ ಕುಂಬಾರನ ಹೊಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡರು.
8ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಆ ಹೊಲವು ರಕ್ತದ ಹೊಲವೆಂದು ಈ ದಿನದ ವರೆಗೆ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.
9ಆಗ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತು ನೆರವೇರಿತು; ಅದೇನಂದರೆ--ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಬೆಲೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿದವನ ಬೆಲೆಯಾದ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು
